Here are other notable shifts we are observing: - Participation rate for prime-age workers (25-54) rose to 83.6%, underscoring the strength of the job market amid demographic challenges. - Despite lower layoffs and quits, the unemployment rate edged up to 4%, reflecting fewer opportunities for new entrants. - Foreign-born workers increased by 2.1% over May 2023, offsetting declines in native-born workers and contributing to key industries like construction and maintenance.
