This Memorial Day, we remember the heroes who gave their all for our freedom. Their bravery echoes through the ages, a testament to the strength of the human spirit. The weight of sacrifice isn't carried by heroes alone. Families bear the enduring loss, and their lives are forever changed. This Memorial Day, let's hold them close in our hearts, honoring the strength they find to carry on. Please consider joining us, amongst others like Lowe's Companies, Inc. in honoring our nation’s heroes and their families by visiting buildinghomesforheroes.org to learn more. “Black History Month gives us the opportunity to take a deeper dive into the truth. It is a time to learn, elevate our thinking, and bond tighter with our own humanity as we honor those who sacrificed for the freedoms and opportunities we have today. Black History Month also inspires us to stay the course, knowing justice and equality are not destinations but essential elements of freedom for all and a never-ending road to peace. The perpetual road to freedom for all requires humility, integrity, and discipline from every American regardless of background or any social construct that divides what otherwise should function in harmony. Much like Harriett Tubman, who is an inspiration to me, I have a burning desire for freedom, justice, and peace. Although it is a lifestyle for so many, Black History Month affords all of us a specific time to unite with a common goal that revers and honors the courage, character, and intelligence of those who stood up unapologetically for freedom, especially in a time when doing so could result in serious harm or even death. During this month we grow, if we choose, by acknowledging some difficult and uncomfortable truths about history. That discomfort is only temporary, because with accountability and reconciliation, it changes the trajectory of our collective futures. We empathize. We care. We connect. We too can become great humanitarians like Harriet Tubman, by first freeing ourselves, then helping others do the same.” - Glenn E. Donell - BS, MS, SPSM®, RealTruck Vice President of Purchasing

This past weekend marked an incredible moment as our life-size Matchbox Jeep Gladiator raised $325K for charity at Barrett-Jackson Auction Company 2024! Collaborating with Mattel, Inc., this off-roading machine, a modified 2023 Jeep Gladiator built by Doetsch Off-Road, combines passion and philanthropy. NASCAR's Hendrick Motorsports led the auction with a $250,000 bid, boosted by a generous $25,000 donation from Barrett-Jackson's president Steve Davis and $50,000 from longtime Barrett-Jackson supporter Michelle Mauzy. These funds support Building Homes for Heroes, Inc., providing mortgage-free homes to veterans and first responders. Our entire company is thrilled to contribute to this project, helping the organization reach its 400th home milestone and gift or modify more than one home every 11 days in 2024. Thank you to all who followed, shared, and contributed! We're honored to support veterans who have sacrificed for our nation.
