#Work and #Love. Let's Start This Week Strong. In the last few weeks, we have celebrated our #anniversary as a #company, a #team, and a #family. We have one more stop, #Argentina, to complete the #LaFamilia circle of #REPartners. In #Warsaw, #Poland, and #Almaty, #Kazakhstan, we kicked off our days of celebration with a short all-hands company recap. We showed two videos: one of many interviews with #ElonMusk and #JerrySeinfeld, the 2024 Duke Commencement speech (it is also funny and perfect, https://lnkd.in/e4qf7iDP). These two gentlemen can't be more different from each other, but they believe, on the highest level, that the two most essential things in life are Work and Love. What if we think about this in the context of #WorkLifeBalance, one of today's employees' most discussed business topics? This is not to say that Love is work and work is Love; when this occurs, the ultimate work-life balance is achieved. Work is not a substitute for Love; both are equally essential slices of the #success pie. Can you be #happy and feel love if you don't work or don't like your work? Do you need to be happy at a place that most of us will spend more than half of our lives doing? Are we insane enough to bring work and love into a conversation about work-life balance? At the end of the day, it is all about #humans, NOT AI. Automating humans is not new. This is probably one of the most modern metaphors of #automation: "The term "automation" was coined in the 1940s at the Ford Motor Company to describe the increased use of automatic devices and controls in mechanized production lines. D.S.
