The Port keeps Washington state connected through aviation, maritime, logistics, trade, and travel services

About us

Founded in 1911, the Port owns and operates Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Fishermen’s Terminal — home of the North Pacific fishing fleet — and public marinas. The Port also owns two cruise ship terminals, a grain terminal, real estate assets, and marine cargo terminals through its partnership in the Northwest Seaport Alliance. Port operations help support nearly 200,000 jobs and $7 billion in wages throughout the region. Over the next 19 years, the port’s “Century Agenda” seeks to create an additional 100,000 jobs through economic growth while becoming the nation’s leading green and energy-efficient port.

SEA maintenance staff holds monthly maintenance weekends involving every trade group at the Port. Each trade uses its expertise to inspect each train car and keep them all moving safely and efficiently for travelers. Read more → https://lnkd.in/g9SjHYRg

What better way to celebrate 75 years than at the largest independent, nonprofit air and space museum in the world! On July 13, come watch a series of mini-documentaries about the airport and hear from past and present airport representatives in The Museum of Flight’s William M. Allen Theater. The panel will share stories of the past and the vision for the future.

Copperworks Distilling Company, founded in 2012, is strategically located close to downtown attractions, restaurants, Elliott Bay charter boats, tours, and the cruise industry. At the start of each cruise season, Copperworks experiences a noticeable uptick in business as cruise passengers on their way to or from Alaska stop by the tasting room. Cruise passengers boost the distillery's business by 20 to 30% in the summer. To draw in visitors, Copperworks focuses on sampling and distillery tours and experiences. While cruise ship passengers may not be able to bring their own alcohol on ships, the company provides an online sales program where customers can have purchases shipped home for their return, or they can visit the website later to make a purchase.
