Welcome Melinia Honjo, DHSc, PA-C, to Center for Dermatology & Plastic Surgery! Melinia Honjo, DHSc, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Her passion for dermatology was inspired at an early age when her grandfather was diagnosed with melanoma, propelling her to excel in her field and positively impact patients' lives. Melinia dedicated five years as an adjunct clinical professor at Stanford University, where she shared her knowledge while staying updated on medical advancements. Proactive in her learning, Melinia served as a trainer with Allergan, earned her CAQ in dermatology, and is a Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants Diplomate Fellow. This week marks eight years since we started Platinum Dermatology Partners with a vision to build an organization deeply committed to serving its patients, physicians and providers while having a lasting impact on the specialty at-large. Building this company has undoubtedly been the most rewarding experience of my career, both in terms of what we have achieved, and the relationships built along the way. While I am incredibly proud of all we have accomplished, it is our future and the daily manifestation of our vision we experience that drives us toward having an even greater impact in the lives of those we serve. I am so incredibly grateful to be surrounded by such a remarkable group of physicians, providers, business leaders and support staff all aligned in our objective to be exceptional in all we do. We are thrilled to welcome AJ Wagner as Platinum Dermatology Partner's new Vice President of Operations. AJ brings over 15 years of operations leadership experience, including a long and successful tenure at HCA and Ascension. She has been in healthcare for more than 25 years, and started her career in South Texas as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Most recently, AJ spent 12 years with HCA Healthcare where she was recognized as one of the top operations executives in the company by increasing access to care for patients, focusing on staff retention and creating a culture that is centered on patient and provider satisfaction. Her vision for operational excellence and expertise in leading complex operations will undoubtedly propel us toward tremendous success. At Platinum Dermatology Partners, we aim to set the standard in the experience we deliver to our patients, as well as our physicians, providers and support staff. Recently, I was able to have such a conversation with Dr. Chris Carr of Dallas Associated Dermatologists for a casual chat in honor of May’s Skin Cancer Awareness Month.   Dr. Carr greatly values the ability to have a meaningful and lasting impact on people every day and shares one of the most common skin cancer myths. Her strategic initiatives have consistently enhanced financial performance and operational effectiveness across various healthcare organizations. Her strategic insights and leadership have led to the development of robust financial analytics tools, optimizing revenue cycles and forecasting accuracy. Christine has an amazing husband and 3 little girls and when she is not working, she loves spending time with her extended family, reading, and watching the kids grow. We are thrilled to welcome Geoff Duke as Platinum Dermatology Partner's new Senior Vice President of IT. Geoff graduated from California State University with a degree in mechanical engineering and later earned his master’s degree, also in mechanical engineering, at Arizona State University. His previous roles in healthcare technology, including leadership positions from early-stage startups to major healthcare systems, have equipped him with a unique perspective that will deliver agile solutions.
