#FacesofPCS Meet Mr. Austin Edmundson, a math teacher at Farmville Central High School Mr. Edmundson's passion for teaching runs in the family. With both of his parents being teachers, he grew up in an environment filled with education and educators. This nurturing atmosphere inspired him to help teenage students, especially in the subject he loves most—math, just like his mom, who was a high school math teacher. One of Mr. Edmundson's favorite aspects of teaching is the interaction with his students. Building positive relationships with them brings immense joy to his life, even on the tough days. He values these connections deeply and finds great fulfillment in his role. "I also love my coworkers. The math department here is like my family, and I don't know what I would do without their support and friendship," he shared. Born and raised in Goldsboro, North Carolina, Mr. Edmundson pursued his academic journey at East Carolina University. He graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor's degree in University Studies, concentrating in Business and Education, and also earned a minor in Business. In his free time, Mr. Edmundson enjoys socializing with friends. Whether it’s going to the movies, dining out, or hosting dinner at his apartment, he loves spending quality time with those close to him. He also has a fondness for playing card games and video games, making the most of his leisure moments. We are grateful to have such a dedicated and passionate educator as Mr. Edmundson at PCS.
