We honor Juneteenth as an organizational holiday as a part of our commitment to embracing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Juneteenth is observed annually on June 19 to commemorate the arrival of federal troops in Galveston, Texas, in 1865 to enforce the freedom of more than 250,000 enslaved Black people, a full two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation. As we celebrate Juneteenth, we honor the strength, resilience, and courage of those who paved the way for future generations. This holiday serves as a powerful reminder of our history and the importance of acknowledging the past. It is also a time for reflection and a renewed commitment to creating a brighter, more equitable future for all. If you’re looking for something to do this week, below are just some of the events celebrating Juneteenth in our area: 🟡 https://lnkd.in/gN2-4tAQ 🟡 https://lnkd.in/gsEF4EVt 🟡 https://lnkd.in/gs9_qnTd 🟡 https://lnkd.in/gNm5_f9U 🟡 https://lnkd.in/gxq83b39 🟡 https://lnkd.in/gSGxBcHv

As needs grow, we grow with it. As we near the end of our fiscal year, we reflect on the many precious lives we’ve had the opportunity to serve and impact. 52 years ago we started out serving 3 people and now serve over 3,000 of our St. Louis neighbors in need of mental health and substance use support. Seeing people across the lifespan live fulfilling and meaningful lives is the greatest gift. We look forward to continuing to commit ourselves to being here for the city we know and 💛, St. Louis!

Team A, B, C, D, Prime, Path, Hope, and OAT recently put on a thrilling Kickball Tournament to offer a fun team bonding opportunity to celebrate the end of Mental Health Awareness Month! Tshirts were made, snacks were had, and friends and family showed up to cheer the teams on to victory. To top it all off, the surprise guest umpire was our CEO, Tony Hilkin!
