Lerner College is extremely grateful to Peak Trust Company for its $550,000 donation, a gift that will establish a unique nationwide trust management certificate program, as well as a scholar’s fund for students in Lerner’s trust management minor. Made possible by the Horejsi Charitable Foundation, the Peak Trust Company Management Certificate of $450,000 will offer online and easily accessible courses to students and will both prepare and empower young adults to enter the trust field. The additional donation of $100,000 from Peak Trust will also benefit students in the minor by funding their participation in exchanges, conference and other educational opportunities. Matthew Blattmachr, president and CEO of the company, recently visited with University of Delaware students as this year’s speaker for the Chaplin Tyler Executive Leadership Lecture Series. “This gift will solidify the university’s leadership in trust management education. We’re going to build on what we’ve already done to create an educational path that can reach a broader scope of people throughout the nation,” said Jennifer Zelvin McCloskey, attorney and director of UD’s trust management minor.
