We're excited to announce the completion of our latest affordable housing project with Hispanic Housing Development Corporation. Friday, May 17, 2024, marked the ribbon-cutting ceremony for this impressive addition to Humboldt Park, Chicago, Illinois, at 1203 N California Ave. This multifamily building stands tall at nine stories, encompassing 83,000 square feet. It will provide affordable housing to 64 families within the community and features first-floor amenities, a second-story terrace, and 3,200 square feet of retail space. Adding to its charm, a captivating mural by local artist Antonio Beniquez adorns the rainscreen panels on the north elevation. The building is named after Pedro Albizu Campos, a prominent Puerto Rican attorney and politician. We are proud to have been part of such a remarkable project!

We are thrilled to share that Path Construction Northeast has made tremendous progress for the renovations at Oak Ridge Community Center. This month, we have focused on MEP Rough Ins and wrapping up the exterior, and we are excited about the results. The fire suppression team has hit the ground running, completing the rough-in for the riser room, gym, and new addition. In the next month, they will complete the fire suppression for the existing building and start on the pool area on the 1st of June. The remaining MEPs have almost completed their overhead rough-in, and we should have overhead inspections in the next two weeks, which we eagerly anticipate. Lastly, we have completed the furring and insulation on the exterior and started the installation on the exterior storefront systems. The storefronts will be ongoing for the next few weeks, with the intention of being closed enough to start drywall the last week of this month, a development that we look forward to. Our CEO, Ric Krause, has been involved in the project and has even assisted with sprinkler installation!

We are proud to say that our Vice President of Business Development, Alex Cerulli LEED AP, was a featured speaker at Information Management Network (IMN)'s inaugural Extended Stay Hotel Forum. The discussion, titled “The Extended Stay Stick-and-Box: Economic Advantages & Conversion Opportunities," was focused on construction pricing and volatility, which are crucial for owners in this high-interest rate market.

From our CEO, Ric Krause: I was thrilled to participate in Path's Florida team's project kick-off for Marriott Hotels and Concord Hospitality Enterprises. We are creating project environments promoting deeper engagement with the parties involved. The meeting’s focus was to underscore clarity, communication, and collaboration among all the primary constructors of the project. The aim is to ensure a smooth and proactive process of safely producing a high-quality product with the least disruption. We discussed the details of the project page by page in great depth. It was great to see such cooperation and collaboration among the team members. This project, pioneering StudioRes Hotel in Ft Myers, is the first of its kind for Marriott Hotels.

The Lake County Regional Operations and Communications Facility (ROC) is on track to achieve LEED Gold status. The 37,426 sq ft facility is built with recycled and locally sourced materials to reduce environmental impact. It will feature a rain garden and informative displays about renewable energy. The ROC will serve as a central hub for communication and coordination during critical operations, with 34 telecommunicator positions and resilience against severe weather conditions. Our Path team is doing an outstanding job, and we are excited to deliver this critical facility to the people of Lake County soon.
