Sharing about sustainability can be complex. Often, we think about sustainability in smaller loops, in our own ecosystems or day-to-day activities, but the reality is that addressing the climate crisis is going to take a lot of different approaches and technologies that achieve impact in a lot of different ways, collectively. This is what I find most interesting about the #TheHumanComponent series presented by the Consumer Technology Association and produced for them by BBC Storyworks. From a pane of glass to the full-scale use of hydrogen to power a factory, Panasonic along with several other innovators had an opportunity to share our diverse approaches to working and living more sustainably, as well as shine a light on the passionate people leading these efforts. Today, I invite you to explore these important efforts in hopes that it can inspire larger thinking around how we can collaborate towards a more sustainable way of life. Can you imagine living or working in a building where nearly every exterior surface generates renewable energy? Panasonic is pursuing this vision by developing next-generation solar panels called perovskite solar cells. Produced using inkjet printing, this allows for greater flexibility in terms of size, design and making it possible to expand solar power generation in ways that currently do not exist with traditional silicon-based solar cells. In this film produced by BBC StoryWorks, Yukihiro Kaneko, General Manager of Technology Division, explains about how the perovskite solar cells can make a significant contribution towards the future of carbon neutrality. Explore the film as part of #TheHumanComponent series and discover how these solar panels have the potential to turn every building into a source of renewable energy. https://ow.ly/sPkf50S9cSr *For UK Residents click here: https://ow.ly/IpMb50S84p7 #WorldEnvironmentDay #EnvironmentMonth #Perovskite #Innovation #Techonology #RenewableEnergy Consumer Technology Association

Experience is everything. For Keita Yasuda, VP Strategic Planning & OneConnect in Panasonic's Smart Mobility Office, his global business career stemmed from his days at CU Boulder, where he now gives back to the essence of his inspiration. Keita arranged a group of intellects within Leeds Scholars Program at University of Colorado Boulder to visit Japan and tour Panasonic's Tokyo Center. Prior to their visit, he provided a Panasonic global business & cultural overview from his personal experiences working in two different countries for many years. Keita continues to contribute toward his CU society, meeting with students and aiding in their understanding of global culture. #LifeAtPanasonic

When I learned that James D. White, Brian Sozzi, and I would be discussing purpose and persistence at CECP Summit 2024, I knew the experience would be invaluable. In a world where geopolitics, artificial intelligence, and new work paradigms are transforming leadership and decision-making at an unprecedented pace, we are all challenged to stay anchored in our purpose while embracing fresh perspectives. Fortunately, this balance is something Panasonic has been pursuing for more than 100 years. In understanding our company’s history and through my own experience, I've discovered that maintaining a purposeful persistence is far from a linear journey. It involves a continuous practice of curiosity, introspection, listening, and a real trust in the collective wisdom of those around us. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to share my insights at #CECPSummit this year, and even more so for the opportunity to learn from such a diverse and knowledgeable group of individuals.
