The entire farm was flattened, with not a single building spared. Tragically, they lost several beloved horses in the chaos. Had a great week up in Fairfield, CT with our friends at Fairfield Equine - an NVA Equine practice - We had the opportunity to showcase both our FHD Equine Airway Scope and Gastroscope. The attached video is in 1080p from the guttural pouch exam of this particular patient. They were blown away at the image quality but more importantly the video and image capability that is built into the scope without the need for a laptop. On this #welcomewednesday we'd like to introduce you to Dr. Madalyn Kirbach, the newest member of the team at Pine Bush Equine. Dr. Madalyn Kirbach-Willemsma is excited to return to the northeast after spending the last 8 years practicing throughout the West after graduating from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. She finished a rotating internship at Equine Sports Medicine and Surgery in Weatherford Texas and is also certified through the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association! As a lifelong equestrian, Dr. Kirbach understands the challenges of the equestrian athlete, the relationship between horse and rider as well as the team effort it takes to keep horses performing at their peak. Her specific interests include lameness and podiatry as well as reproductive medicine. Dr. Kirbach made the trek to NY with her husband, Logan, their 3 cats, 3 Quarter Horses and Dolly, the Border Collie. Both she and her husband enjoy competing their horses in stock horse events and look forward to exploring the Hudson Valley.
