About us
The Multicultural Refugee Coalition is an innovative Austin nonprofit creating livelihood opportunities for refugees through a unique blending of skills-based education and social entrepreneurship. We operate a sewing social enterprise, community gardens and an organic farm as well as offering free and low-cost job-training and specific livelihood-focused community support of refugees’ journeys toward self-reliance. Our Enterprises & Missions Open Arms Studio: Providing sewing training and living wage work for refugees creating high-quality soft goods for private-label designers. New Leaf Agriculture: Connecting refugees to regenerative farming opportunities by operating community gardens and an organic farm.
