Katarina Matic, Ioana Veleanu Botzoman, and Carla Fortuna were thrilled to visit our client Children of Promise, NYC in the Bronx! For 15 years, CPNYC has been serving over 300 scholars annually. CPNYC helps children of incarcerated parents thrive and reach their full potential by providing after school programs, mental health services, summer day camp, and more. It's the only non-profit of its kind in NYC and nationally and we are proud to be working together. Touring CPNYC’s Bronx location, we saw the amazing environment provided for the children. We were thrilled to attend the Strength of a Woman Summit & Festival, showcasing women resilience and providing inspiration for personal and professional growth, with our client Children of Promise, NYC and Mary J. Blige, Tasha Smith, Taraji P. Henson, Angie Martinez, and many others. Founder and Executive Director Sharon Content said, “The incarceration rate of women over the past decade has increased by 500%.” This surge significantly impacts children with incarcerated parents, necessitating more attention and action to address mental health concerns. CPNYC is dedicated to providing support, resources, programming, and services to these children.
