Mohawk was honored to sponsor the Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing (DEM) Summer Camp for local students, hosted by the NWGA College and Career Academy in Dalton, GA, and operated by the Greater Dalton Chamber of Commerce. Our Engineering team hosted sessions on Model Car Design and Rapid Prototyping and Measurement! The students were also able to tour our Light Lab Design Center to experience our product and design teams based in Dalton. This facility features views of landscape and natural vistas and showcases beautiful installations of Mohawk Group’s flooring designs. How cool is that? Thank you to our team members who took the time out of their day to participate in this camp and work with the students! 😊

What's better than celebrating one 50-year service anniversary? Celebrating two! 👏 We are excited to recognize Alicia and Wayne, who have recently celebrated 50 years at Mohawk! Alicia has worked on our Customer Service team in the Credit Department, and Wayne has worked across various manufacturing locations in Northwest Georgia, including Caradon, Green Street, and Industrial Park. Please help us congratulate them on this phenomenal milestone! 🎉

Last December, we built a state-of-the-art training center in Summerville, GA to help new employees build the skills you need to have not just a great job but a great career with Mohawk. It's an investment in our people, the community and the future of manufacturing! Fast forward to this past month, and the Summerville Training Center is going strong – 100 people have now officially graduated from its customized training program! We're proud to provide more opportunities with Mohawk. Thank you to every team member who has poured into the trainees and Training Center over the last 5 months, and congratulations to our graduates! 👏

Our yarn team in Bridgeport, AL, recently celebrated a significant milestone – 500 days & 500,000 working hours safe! These accomplishments are a true testament to our exceptional employees' unwavering dedication and hard work, who make this team the best! Thank you, Bridgeport, for keeping safety first! 👏

“During my active-duty time, I was a fighter aircraft crew chief, and then I went to the Air Force Reserves and changed to cargo aircraft. I then interviewed with Mohawk while I was deployed overseas with my Reserve unit for a role as an Education & Government Sales Specialist. In my Air Force career, we were really known as the Jack-of-all-trades. There is a lot of value in that for sales roles, as we work with End Users, architects, designers and dealers. One day, you may be calling on an interior design intern, and the next, a CEO or owner of a company. On the military side, you interact with many people from many walks of life with varying levels of rank, which develops so many soft skills. As you promote and progress, you get further exposure to leadership roles and communication up and down the ladder. The military really refined the discipline, accountability, and soft skills that I learned from my parents growing up.
