We’re celebrating the 25th anniversary of our Arévalo pet food factory in Spain! This milestone marks not only a celebration of our history but also a significant leap towards the future as we officially open our second production line. The €50 million investment will increase our production capacity while helping Mars achieve major sustainability milestones, allowing the factory to be 25% more efficient in water use and 17% more efficient in energy consumption per metric ton. 🌍   Our commitment to sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Globally, our efforts are supported by a $1 billion investment aimed at achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions across our value chain by 2050. From improving and optimizing logistics to sourcing 100% renewable electricity, we are dedicated to creating a better world for pets and our planet.   A huge thank you to our incredible team in Spain and the local community for their support. With less than six months away from Halloween, we’re celebrating Halfway to Halloween by unveiling the inaugural “Mars Tricks, Treats and Trends” report, featuring insights and emerging patterns in consumer behavior leading into and during the season. The new report, developed with Ipsos, looks at attitudes among American adults who plan to celebrate Halloween. Some of the spook-tacular findings include: 👻 Gen Z = Halloween heroes: The new report revealed that Gen Z celebrates Halloween early and often—some Gen Zers are even already planning for Halloween now. 🍫 Candy reigns supreme: Consumers see candy as the top contributor to a positive Halloween experience. 🎃 Treat yo’ self: More than half of consumers who plan to celebrate Halloween purchase candy to self-treat.
