Yesterday, hundreds of LISD juniors and seniors joined over 100 local businesses for job shadowing opportunities through our annual Career Out program. From classrooms to courtrooms, food service, financing, healthcare, engineering and everything in between, these career-ready students gained valuable experience from professionals in the field. Lewisville ISD Career Out Day was AWESOME! This was the first time we participated, and it won’t be our last! We got to host 10 high school students at our office who were interested in learning more about mortgage career opportunities. These students were engaged and excited, and in turn it got me even more engaged and excited. I feel energized when sharing my passion with others, especially with the younger generation who will be the future of our industry!

This first grade lunch group at Southridge Elementary is thriving with the help of CISNT Site Coordinator Karina Palencia! Two students from this group, Abraham and Samuel, have been great leaders, stepping up to help their friends when they are struggling. Lunch groups like this help students by providing them with a safe space to learn and grow new skills. “I cannot wait to continue working with these boys throughout the remainder of the year to continue building these skills to help them succeed in school and in life," states Karina. #AllInForKids Lewisville ISD

Lewisville ISD is proud to announce that DATCU Credit Union is now the official credit union of the district. At last night's board meeting, DATCU presented our Board of Trustees with a $1.5 million donation, representing their continued commitment to the students and staff of LISD. “This partnership shows that DATCU recognizes the importance of public education,” said Superintendent Dr. Lori Rapp. “DATCU is a leader in our community, and I believe they’re setting an example of how other local businesses can support our schools.
