Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s Chief, Jen Easterly, warns that the proliferation of AI not only empowers cybercriminals but also lowers the barrier for anyone looking to engage in malicious activities online regardless of skill level. AI can amplify various cyber threats like phishing, the creation of deepfakes and misinformation campaigns raising concerns over the future capabilities of threat actors.
