The office focuses on all giving to Johns Hopkins University and Medicine at or above $5 million and is highly functioning with a strong reputation for being fast paced while combining accuracy and creativity. The team employs data and storytelling to inspire and steward principal level commitments in support of the mission of Johns Hopkins University and Medicine. The Executive Director will work closely with leadership in Development and Alumni Relations (DAR), university leadership including at the presidential and provost level, and trustees and volunteers. As a driver of the institution’s highest-level donor strategies, they will embrace goal-oriented outcomes, be an entrepreneurial and creative thinker, and have passion about the impact of philanthropy on a research institution. A bachelor's degree, ten years of related professional experience, experience and proven success in the solicitation of seven and eight figure gifts, and five years of experience navigating new programs and initiatives at a complex institution are required for this position. The Analyst is responsible for partnering with fundraising divisions to implement and maintain a comprehensive program of strategic information support, including prospect identification and prospect analysis. The Analyst responds to requests for information from liaison divisions, provides analysis on principal and major gift level prospects, evaluates the potential reputational risk in engaging with prospects, manages prospect identification projects, and completes other requests as assigned.   • In April, Johns Hopkins Development & Alumni Relations (DAR) held its annual Talent Conference! At the kickoff event, our DAR colleagues got to hear from Fritz Schroeder, Michelle L. Glennon, Esq., Susan deMuth, and Ashlyn Sowell about all of the incredible initiatives in the works at Johns Hopkins. The DAR community also got to hear from Dr. Samuel Myers, director of the Johns Hopkins Institute for Planetary Health. His talk on the current state of planetary health was the perfect tone-setter for a week of thought-provoking sessions our colleagues attended to learn about Johns Hopkins, leadership, personal enrichment, and professional development.
