Deborah (Breisblatt) Lizt, Intuit's Head of Sustainability, "flipped the switch" on the White Pine Solar Farm in Tennessee alongside representatives from REI, Clearloop, Tennessee Senator Steve Southerland, and local officials. This is a 2.8 MWDC project that will prevent over 162 million pounds of carbon emissions and power nearly 400 homes. Intuit is donating 1,600 renewable energy certificates (RECs) per year for the next 40 years to support Jefferson County and Hamblen County schools. This will help these communities power their local public schools with renewable energy and make them among the first green-powered schools in the Southeast. And, to further the impact of the White Pine solar project and to support the future local workforce, Intuit also made a $100,000 scholarship donation for high school seniors in the Jefferson and Hamblen County school systems. We're committed to creating lasting benefits for our communities.

On Global Accessibility Awareness Day, we’re reminded of our commitment to creating an accessible and inclusive digital world. Through our Adopt a Small Business Program, we've had the privilege of working alongside Enable Ventures and other organizations to enhance their use of digital tools, including Intuit QuickBooks and Intuit Mailchimp. This program not only supports these businesses in streamlining their operations but also helps them in making their digital presence accessible, empowering entrepreneurs with disabilities to excel without limitations. At Intuit, we believe in the power of technology to promote inclusivity and are committed to removing barriers so that everyone can prosper. #GAAD

As AI technology becomes more wide-spread, there's a once-in-a-generation opportunity to even the odds for small business owners. The Intuit Small Business Council traveled to Washington, DC to help government leaders understand how #AI can help small businesses prosper. They engaged policymakers on how to develop responsible AI policies to help small businesses grow and compete in today's economy. Thank you to our Intuit Mailchimp and Intuit QuickBooks customers who shared your unique perspectives!
