It's almost time for another Summer Friday...for some. Only 11 percent of workers say their organizations are offering Summer Fridays this year, according to a survey of more than 1,100 workers in North America from Gartner in November. In 2019, 55 percent of organizations offered this perk. But that doesn't mean companies are giving up on the shortened workweek. In fact, some are now incorporating it all year long as more companies embrace flexible work schedules. Read more here at Inc. Failure can be a daunting concept, especially for entrepreneurs. Yet, it's a common part of the journey. Those who persist through these challenges truly drive our communities and economy forward. Harley recently shared valuable insights with Inc. Magazine's Kim Jao on overcoming these obstacles—lessons that we can all benefit from: https://lnkd.in/eZUnZ3gn.
The only thing we ever hear about entrepreneurship is that it’s hard. Otherwise, we don’t hear about it at all. It’s bullshit. Entrepreneurship is hard, but there’s way more to it than that. We’ve been living, thinking about and breathing entrepreneurship for two decades. What have we learned? There’s never been a better time to be an entrepreneur. But don’t take our word for it. We spoke to 62,000 people around the world in partnership with Gallup and Censuswide to find out the latest pulse on how people feel about entrepreneurship. Here is what they said: 🚀 Globally, more than 6 out of every 10 people want to be their own boss. That’s more than 50% of people worldwide, thinking and dreaming about entrepreneurship. You know what I think? Go and do it now. 🚀 More people are going to start their business – 25% of people in the US that have entrepreneurship aspirations want to start this year, and most want to start within the next 5 years. We’re about to see a huge boom in entrepreneurs. 🚀 Failure is a huge part of the journey of entrepreneurship, but it doesn’t need to be the end. Yes, 40% of entrepreneurs outside of the US started a business that did not succeed, but what’s important is they started again. Combined with the fact that the cost of failure gets lower every day, one business failure is another one’s beginning. Now is a great time to start. The future of entrepreneurship is bright.
