Senior Vice President of Product Management at Imprivata

Privileged to spend this past week at Imprivata's Customer Advisory Board meetings in in Leeds and London, England with Fran Rosch, Daniel Johnston, Joel Burleson-Davis, Andrew Harrison, Neil Falcini, Vanessa Wilkinson, Jen Ryan, CFCHE, CDH-E, Adam Bangle and Andy Wilcox. As a product leader, there's no better way to spend my time than hearing directly from our NHS and HSE customers about what's working well and how Imprivata can deliver even more value. We discussed a lot of topics, but the big take-away message was: "Help us look after our workforce so they can look after our patients." One of the ways we're doing that is by integrating with NHS England's new Care Identity Service (CIS2). CIS2 has the benefit of securely supporting any endpoint from any location via open standards. But by delegating the authentication to each clinical app separately, it adds more clicks to a user's workflow. Imprivata is working closely with the NHS and the app vendors on an SSO solution that eliminates the additional clicks, to maintain the fast access that Imprivata's current NHS users have come to expect. The highlight of our London CAB meeting was a tour of St. Paul's Cathedral. It was rebuilt after the Great Fire of London destroyed the original cathedral in 1666, it survived the German Blitz in WWII, and is the site of state funerals, royal weddings and Jubilees. A big thanks to our customers and to our UK team for a very productive and rewarding week!

This gap in cybersecurity poses significant risks to patient data and overall security. Key findings: 🔍 40% of respondents have never heard of the NIS2 Directive. 🔍 30% admit their IT security does not meet the new requirements. 🔍 Only 19% have a mature approach to managing digital identities.
