IAC’s CEO, Kevin Baird, joined employees for a barbecue lunch held at our Southfield Office where Southfield and Troy Michigan employees were in attendance. During the celebration, he shared his appreciation for the team and reinforced IAC’s commitment to work-life balance by encouraging employees to prioritize spending time with friends and family this summer. Gatherings are a great opportunity for employees to come together and celebrate as a team. IAC is dedicated to creating an environment where we can thrive both professionally and personally.

We recently hosted Bring Your Child to Work Day where employees packed their kids alongside their laptops for a day in the office in Southfield. The children split into five countries that they named and designed a flag to compete in a mini-Olympics. They then virtually traveled to IAC offices worldwide, meeting employees and enjoying cultural treats. It was a day of fun, learning about our global reach and the amazing work their parents do! #IACProud #Leadership

A delegation of research scientists and professors from Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia recently visited the IAC Group facility in Hrusky. Guided by Lukas Knap of IAC Group, the professors were given an up-close look at IAC Group’s adoption of Industry 4.0 principles which have enhanced the operational efficiency and quality assurance measures at IAC. We are excited to see how the researchers integrate their learnings into their curriculum, helping prepare students for the future of automotive manufacturing.

IAC is proud to announce that it has obtained the Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange certification for the remainder of its manufacturing facilities worldwide from the German Association of the Automotive Industry. As we communicated last year, IAC Group successfully passed the TISAX (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange) certification at 15 manufacturing facilities in Europe and South Africa. TISAX certification is a standard for assessing and exchanging information security within the automotive industry. The certification confirmed that IAC Group’s information technology and security measures comply with defined security levels developed by German OEMs and the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). This is a win for IAC as it gives OEMs a significant measure of confidence that sensitive data such as future vehicle program details, supply chain information, data and prototypes are handled with the utmost care using recognized encryption and other technologies. “We started the year with several TISAX certifications at our facilities and can now say that all of our facilities meet or exceed these certification requirements,” said James Lewis, Senior Information Security Compliance Manager. “Once again, our IT department, collaborating with other key stakeholders throughout IAC, made quick and thorough work to bring us up to these standards for ensuring the security of sensitive information. We’ll need to revisit the certification process in three years.” Congratulations Team IAC for working as one team to achieve our TISAX certification throughout our facilities.

IAC Group Chief Human Resources Officer Paula Slater recently traveled to the IAC Mexico facilities in Toluca, Monterrey, Saltillo, and Hermosillo. Paula received an in-depth tour of each facility, observing up close the operations and processes of each plant. She spoke one-on-one with plant managers and employees to gain a deeper understanding of all aspects of the plant, including the implementation of the Path to Excellence onboarding process. This process provides new hires, as well as those who require retraining, with an accelerated integration into the workforce. Onsite visits serve to build and maintain strong relationships between the executive team and the dedicated IAC employees in our core operations - producing better communication, more collaboration, and ultimately better products. #IACProud #Leadership #Innovation

Did you know that making products lighter can significantly reduce their carbon footprint? According to the US Department of Energy, a 10% reduction in vehicle weight can result in a 6%-8% fuel economy improvement. One approach we use in light-weighting our products involves using hybrid molding and thin foam technology, which reduces weight by up to 50% compared to traditional methods. Our focus on mass reduction lessens our environmental impact and helps OEMs meet emissions standards while ensuring safety and functionality. 🌱 #IACGroup #EarthDay #electricvehicles #automotiveindustry
