May 6th & 7th was the Houchens Food Group 35th Annual Boys and Girls Club Golf Classic. This 2-day event was held at Indian Hills Country Club in Bowling Green. With the help of our sponsors and players, we raised $175,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bowling Green. In the month of March, we hosted the Annual Mobile Fundraising Campaign in over 150 of our stores across Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and Virginia for The Center for Courageous Kids. Funds raised during this campaign are used to send children with serious illnesses or special needs to a camp catered to them free of charge. Overall $85,000 was raised, which will send 85 children to camp. Specifically, the Divison 1 stores raised $55,000 alone. The Scottsville Save-A-Lot raised over $17,000 itself. A few women from HFG attended the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce 2024 Women’s Leadership Conference. They heard inspiring stories from special guests Vicki Phillips, Miss Kentucky - Mallory Hudson, April Nicole Scipio, and Kentucky's First Lady Brittany Beshear. They left the conference feeling enlightened, empowered and engaged to tackle professional challenges and ready to continue the legacy of strength and unity among women.

When asked about receiving this award, Dustin said, "I have received awards throughout my lifetime, which I am extremely appreciative of, but this particular award is on a whole other level for me due to my unwavering passion for this cause. To be fortunate enough to lead a team that has adopted the passion for CCK and executed it to the highest level truly is phenomenal! I am exceedingly grateful, humbled, and proud to be part of such the awe-inspiring cause that CCK does so well day in and day out. Our Team helped raise over $25,000 with a handful of stores through mobiles, an auction, a car show, and a cookout!
