THE RESULTS ARE IN… Last week we wanted to know how much time you’re saving with AI. 65% of you said 2 hours or LESS. How can we increase this number? We’re glad you asked… We want YOUR perspective on the challenges you face, where you need extra support, and how AI is influencing your deals. The survey takes 5 minutes and 27 seconds to complete. (I just did it right now.) Participants in the study will be the first to get the results. Which means they’ll be the first to know how the best sellers use AI to close more deals in less time. DISCUSSING PRICE ON DISCOVERY CALLS? We thought about it twice, too. But the data is clear. Win rates are highest when pricing is discussed on the first call — 10% higher (!) The longer a sales rep waits to bring up pricing, the less likely they are to win the deal. Let’s take a moment to acknowledge something unspoken here: Talking about pricing (and money) isn’t taboo. It’s essential to get a deal signed so it doesn’t matter whether the seller or the buyer brings it up first. It’s just part of doing business. A big one, in fact.

BIGGEST SCALING MISTAKE Often early-stage companies want to hire as many people as possible. The problem? They don’t think about who is going to train or manage them. That’s why you should focus on hiring experienced people during early-stage growth. These people know what it’s like to wear 8 different hats. They understand they can’t wait for someone else to give them the answer – they need to figure it out on their own. It’s exactly what your company needs in its early days. Once your team is productive and the business is showing signs of being a well-oiled machine, then hire entry-level employees. Part of scaling effectively is taking things step by step. Even if you’re growing like crazy, don’t just add to your company’s headcount. Think through who is going to be responsible for each and every new hire. And if no one has bandwidth, then wait. Otherwise, those new hires will be wasted resources.
