It's a big day for us at Aeropuerto SJU! We are celebrating our NEW crew base! The base will employ up to 290 flight attendants and pilots within its first year of operation. Combined with airport-based positions, we expect to contribute nearly $84 million in annual wages to the San Juan economy. With the new nonstop service to 11 destinations, Frontier will serve 28 total destinations from San Juan, making Frontier the airport's largest carrier based on the destinations served. "This new crew base underscores just how vital San Juan has become to our operations as we continue to grow our service between Puerto Rico and the U.S. mainland, as well as to other islands in the Caribbean," said Barry Biffle, CEO of Frontier Airlines. Graduating kindergarten calls for a sky-high celebration. 🎉 Even though traveling out of town meant missing his kindergarten graduation ceremony, Xavier proudly wore his graduation cap and gown on the flight. Flight attendants noticed and spoke with Xavier, his grandmother, and his mom, and upon learning he was missing his ceremony, they suggested an in-flight graduation. First Officer David E., based in PHL, shared some heartwarming moments from a recent Take Your Child To Work Day organized by his son's school. They spent a few hours exploring the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), chatting with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), PHL Police, Frontier gate agents, and flight attendants. Although his son Rafael didn't want to hop on an actual flight (much to David's surprise), he was thrilled to witness the inner workings of the airport. It's moments like these that make us proud to be part of the aviation community!
