Updates

  • We're excited and humbled by the huge amount of interest we've had in joining the FLA once we're officially open for membership! If you've submitted an application, please keep an eye out for an email explaining next steps. A few things to note: 🎯 Our initial focus is to build membership among organizations that work on behalf of, provide services to, or represent a larger number of Fractional Executives. Followed shortly thereafter by growing membership among individual Fractional Executives. 💻 We will be hosting a webinar early next month to provide a summary of the FLA charter, and to answer additional questions. We'll post details here, and send them in a follow-up email once this is scheduled Looking forward to continue seeing the momentum rolling as we bring this group together!

Data always tells the most interesting stories… and when we hit 100+ profiles in our Fractional Directory, I knew there would be a bigger picture to share in the details of how people are operating Fractionally in our little slice of the global market over here in NZ. I expected the capacity limitation / flexibility of the model to attract a bit more gender diversity, (👋 data around women who make it to senior leader or executive level, then take a step down or off the ladder if they have children) and also expected to see New Zealand’s rates of pay to be lower than those overseas (but not 70% in some domains! What an opportunity for global businesses to leverage remote NZ talent for a bargain if companies here don’t step up and use it themselves…) What I didn’t expect was just how clear of a picture this report would paint on Fractional Leadership as a growing global industry, not just as a niche trend or brand people are flocking to. The data on search from Petra Davidson and comprehensive pay breakdown from Matt McFarlane show some clear maturity in how this market is coming together. And I think it’s time businesses really start paying attention. Thank you again to everyone who contributed in putting this together, and look forward to hearing the feedback!
