Compassionate health care for every chapter in your life story.

About us

Foundation Health Partners (FHP) is an independent health system located in Fairbanks, Alaska. Banner Health successfully operated Fairbanks Memorial Hospital and Tanana Valley Clinic for many years. In 2015, the Fairbanks Hospital Foundation decided that Fairbanksans know what’s best for the Interior and the team embarked on a plan of community owned and operated facilities. Beginning January 1, 2017, Tanana Valley Clinic (TVC), Fairbanks Memorial Hospital (FMH) and Denali Center (DC) became part of Foundation Health Partners, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Greater Fairbanks Community Hospital Foundation. Foundation Health Partners operates all three facilities through a 15-member Board of Directors. Community owned and now community operated – Foundation Health Partners is dedicated to providing compassionate health care for every chapter in your life story. At Tanana Valley Clinic, Fairbanks Memorial Hospital and Denali Center, our patients and residents are at the heart of everything we do. FMH, TVC, and DC serves the entire interior region of Alaska, an area of approximately 250,000 square miles.

  • On Tuesday, we welcomed 17 talented high school interns to 15 departments at FHP. We kicked off with a 3-day workshop focused on developing essential soft skills for professional success and healthcare across cultures. Throughout June, interns will immerse themselves in their assigned departments, working 10-15 hours per week. This year's workshops will spotlight ICU, SPD, Surgical Services, Radiation Oncology, and the Cath Lab. This marks our 4th year hosting these bright minds and we're proud that 13 former interns have chosen to return as FHP employees.

  • Foundation Health Partner employees recently took part in the American Heart Association's Heart Walk. Our Porter Heart & Vascular providers offered blood pressure screenings, and our stroke team shared valuable information on stroke awareness with attendees. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with the community.

  • Troop 81 from the Farthest North Girl Scout Council brightened our day by donating over 125 boxes of cookies to Hospice Services for our patients and staff! These amazing girls are also working hard to earn badges and plan a summer camping trip in Denali. Hospice employee Leah Hill and FHP Chaplain Jim were thrilled to meet these inspiring young girls!
