Last week, we hosted a remarkable happy hour event in Denver, CO, which was organized by our colleagues Kelsey Barton and Pasquale A. Iannino Jr.. We had over 150 people come through! The event was a celebration of the vibrant and inspirational cannabis community that makes Denver unique. Thank you, everyone, for joining us and being part of this incredible gathering for the third year in a row. We can't wait to see everyone again soon as we continue to build and strengthen the Coloroado cannabis community together. The vibes were even higher than the temps! A big thank you to our product sponsors for allowing us to have the best swag bags ever: Rocky Mountain High, Wana Brands, Harmony Extracts, Mary Jane's Medicinals, Loud Labs, Blazy Susan , Good Chemistry Nurseries, Paragon Payroll, Inc., and Canna Cabana Bus. See you all again soon!

We’re all drawn to the cannabis industry for different reasons. But it’s our ‘why’ that keeps us persevering. For Mindon Win, Director of Customer Success at LeafLink in Seattle, WA, its about the power of the plant and hearing first hand the difference it makes in people's lives. Hear directly from Mindon below: WHAT’S YOUR PERSONAL “WHY” (YOUR PASSION) FOR WORKING IN CANNABIS? Every day, we would get emails from customers explaining how our products dramatically improved their quality of life for a whole host of reasons. We would meet these people out at our marketing events, and they were incredible grateful for the work we were doing. Learning the power of the plant and the impact it had on people's lives has driven me to pursue opportunities in which I can help expand and strengthen the industry as a whole, which includes working at LeafLink today. WHAT ARE THE BIGGEST SURPRISE(S) ABOUT WORKING IN THE INDUSTRY? My biggest surprise about working in the cannabis industry was something I saw early on and sticks with me today is how incredibly scrappy and resilient the people are that choose to enter this space. This industry is an incredibly difficult one to enter, navigate, and eventually succeed in. Every day I meet people who have taken on incredible personal and professional challenges to get to where they are today, but they are so committed to building something in this space that they will do everything they can to succeed. WORKING IN THE INDUSTRY, WHAT PERKS AND/OR RISKS DO YOU SEE?  I think there are real risks for working in an industry that operates in such a regulatory gray space since there are still companies and individuals that will view working in cannabis as a drawback rather than an advantage. Contrary to that perspective, I do think that a perk of working in cannabis is that if you can be successful in the space, you get the experience and skills to be successful at just about anything. This industry has produced some of the best people I have had the privilege of working with, and it's always exciting to see what they go on to build or create. HOW HAS WORKING IN THE INDUSTRY IMPACTED YOUR CANNABIS USE? YOUR PERCEPTION OF THE PLANT? I never tried cannabis before I worked in the industry. I always kept cannabis at arms-length before that and really did not fully understand why people used it and what impact it had. Now I understand it to be an ever-evolving plant that carries a lot of history and negative stereotypes with it, but it is so important to a growing population of people. #thatsmywhy #cannabiscareers

“Amendment 3 will pass in the state of FL” - Rep. Brian Mast (FL) The congressman doesn't think congress will pass the the Secure and Fair Enforcement (SAFE) Banking Act by November, but believes Florida's impending legalization would put pressure on congress to address it and deal with the state-federal cannabis policy gap. “Every state that does that, it’s another case here federally to say, ‘Listen, you need to deal with [cannabis] banking, you need to deal with descheduling, you need to deal with states rights and put it down in the appropriate hands.” Read the full article form Marijuana Moment here ----> https://lnkd.in/etWUcVsu #florida #cannabislegalization

New York cannabis is alive and in business! The Revelry Buyer’s Club is the NY event where community is formed and business connections are made. There was one big, significant difference between the Revelry Buyers’ Club from last year to this year... Last year, dispensaries and brands were looking forward to operating…  This year, everyone was operating and in business!🥳 The energy was vibrant.  The people were ambitious.  The brands were innovative. New York has big things brewing and we can’t wait to see it evolve. 📸 Thank you Jamie Leo and Lauren Ryan for the photos! #newyorkcannabis #revelryny
