As Military Appreciation Month comes to a close, we recognize the exceptional service and dedication of the 1st Bombardment Division (now known as the 1st Air Division) and the 1st Naval Construction Division. The 1st Bombardment Division / 1st Air Division was established during WWII. This division played a crucial role in strategic bombing campaigns across Europe, showcasing remarkable precision and bravery. Their legacy continues to inspire excellence in aerial operations. The 1st Naval Construction Division, known as the "Seabees", was formed in 1942. The Seabees have built the foundations of victory in every major conflict. From constructing airstrips in the Pacific during WWII to rebuilding infrastructure in modern conflicts, their motto "We Build, We Fight" embodies their resilient spirit.
This Military Appreciation Month, we honor the valor and dedication of the 1st Cavalry Division "First Team" and the 1st Marine Division "The Old Breed." Their unwavering commitment and heroic service ensure the strength and safety of our nation. The 1st Cavalry Division, known as the "First Team", was established in 1921. The First Team has a distinguished history. Known for their rapid mobility and fierce combat spirit, they've excelled in missions from the Korean War to Operation Iraqi Freedom. The 1st Marine Division, or "The Old Breed", was formed in 1941. The Old Breed has been at the forefront of every major conflict. Their legendary courage was forged in battles like Guadalcanal, Peleliu, and Okinawa during WWII, and they continue to exemplify Marine Corps tenacity and excellence.
FirstDiv honors the fearless warriors of the 1st Infantry Division "Big Red One" and the 1st Armored Division "Old Ironsides" this Military Appreciation Month. With storied histories dating back to World War I and World War II, we recognize how their courage, dedication, and sacrifice continue to safeguard our freedoms. The 1st Infantry Division, known as the "Big Red One", was established in 1917. The Big Red One was the first American division in France during WWI. Known for their iconic shoulder patch and role in key operations like the Battle of Cantigny, Omaha Beach on D-Day, and the Battle of the Bulge, the division has a legacy of bravery and excellence. The 1st Armored Division, known as "Old Ironsides", was formed in 1940. Old Ironsides was the first armored division of the U.S. Army. They were pivotal in the North African and Italian campaigns during WWII, demonstrating unparalleled strength and resilience.
Nathan is an Information Assurance Analyst supporting our USMC PM ICO contract. PM ICO has been going through a complex reorganization. Throughout this transition period, he has demonstrated remarkable adaptability. Nathan consistently exceeds expectations in his position and often seeks out additional responsibilities. Recently, he assisted with training three employees. His approachable manner and willingness to share expertise ensured our newest employees quickly became productive and well-integrated members of our FirstDiv team. Nathan's dedication to excellence, eagerness to assist others, and contributions to a positive work environment make him very deserving of our Employee of the Quarter award.
