Fairstead is incredibly proud to have officially cut the ribbon on our renovations at Kinneret Apartments in sunny Orlando, Florida!   Our sincerest thanks to the many local elected officials who joined the event, including Orlando City Mayor Buddy Dyer, Orlando City Commissioner Patty Sheehan, Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings, Orange County Commissioner Mayra Uribe, Florida State Senator Linda Stewart, and Florida State Representative Anna V. Eskamani, MPA, MNM. And to partners such as Regions Bank and KINNERET COUNCIL ON AGING INC who care so deeply about this community.   Yesterday’s celebration at Kinneret builds on what is already an exciting year at Fairstead as we celebrate our 10-year anniversary as a company. The renovation of the Kinneret Apartments is a win for the older residents who live there and our entire city. Thanks to Fairstead and Regions Bank, the 280-unit complex in downtown Orlando has been updated to be modern, energy-efficient and designed in a way to serve residents of all mobility levels. Mayor Dyer and Commissioner Sheehan joined residents and community leaders to celebrate the completion of the renovations today. We thank all those involved for supporting the City of Orlando's commitment to being an age-friendly community for seniors.

Team Fairstead was thrilled to participate in One Huge Night for one incredible cause, Gift of Life Marrow Registry! During the event, Fairstead CEO Jeff Goldberg was honored to accept the Corporate Partner Award in recognition of Fairstead’s work to support Gift of Life’s mission to ensure every person battling blood cancer can have a second chance at life. This award is a reflection of our mission-driven team members who care deeply about making an impact and who jumped at the opportunity to support the life-saving efforts of the Gift of Life. 🌟 Spotlight on Woodbridge Manor, Irvine, California 🌟   As the proud stewards of this 165-unit affordable senior community, Fairstead is excited to be in the final stages of renovations at Woodbridge Manor.   With three community rooms, two computer labs, and the immensely popular community garden, we’re incredibly proud of all that Woodbridge Manor has to offer our residents.   Most recently, we were thrilled to host a company-wide Town Hall where we were joined by the property’s Resident Service Coordinator, Michelle, who shared what makes working at Woodbridge Manor so fulfilling. At its root, Michelle highlighted her love for serving Woodbridge’s incredibly diverse group of residents, including two remarkable centenarians living at the property!   Join us in celebrating the Woodbridge Manor team and our commitment to community building as we spotlight this multi-cultural community.

In honor of Earth Day, we’re taking a moment to spotlight just some of the ways in which Fairstead incorporates sustainability into our work:   🦋 At Woodside Gardens in Maryland, our team leverages both a vegetable garden and a butterfly garden into an on-site Summer Camp program for our youngest residents. ☀️ At Echo Valley in Rhode Island, we’re reducing reliance on the grid with the state’s first ever solar project in an affordable community. ⚡ At Chenoweth in Kentucky, we’re participating in U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s first ever round of funding through the Green and Resilient Retrofit Program (GRRP). 💡 At Park 79 in New York, we’ve converted the property from the use of fossil fuels to near all-electric power. 🌸 At Woodbridge Manor in California, our older residents get creative by cultivating individual gardening plots.   Today and every day, we’re proud of the ways in which our team incorporates sustainability into the fabric of our communities.
