We’re happy to announce an agreement to acquire the AI-powered utilization management products and team from Palo Alto-based Machinify, Inc. The proven Machinify Auth platform leverages the latest AI advances to increase the clinical quality, speed and consistency of clinical reviews for all specialty conditions. We believe these new capabilities will enable us to issue more first-pass approvals for requested services, while also significantly reducing the time that clinical reviewers spend in manual reviews for more complex cases. About us
Evolent partners with health plans and providers to achieve better outcomes for people with complex health conditions. Working across multiple medical specialties and primary care, we seek to ensure that care plans align with clinical evidence, respect members’ goals and preferences, and connect seamlessly across providers and settings. We believe that every person deserves the same level of care and compassion we would want for our loved ones. Evolent serves a national base of leading payers, including managed Medicaid, Medicare Advantage and commercial health plans. Through a comprehensive suite of resources—such as high-value clinical pathways, electronic decision support and value-based payment models—we create an ecosystem that helps providers deliver better, more affordable care to their patients. Tens of millions of Americans have access to our clinical expertise through their plans. WHY WORK HERE? We strive to create a work experience that strikes the perfect balance: the opportunity to do impactful, purposeful work, the chance to collaborate with some of the smartest minds in health care, and the flexibility to balance work and personal life. We foster an open environment where everyone is valued and celebrated, and we have been recognized by national organizations for our achievements in gender parity and LGBTQ+ equality. Join us for the work. Stay for the culture. HISTORY Since our founding in 2011 as Evolent Health, we have been a pioneer in value-based care, but in recent years we have also developed a deep bench of expertise in several key medical specialties. In June 2023, we announced our plans to bring all of our solutions and businesses—New Century Health, Vital Decisions, IPG and NIA—into one specialty-focused company rebranded simply as “Evolent.” Those sub-brands will be formally retired by the end of 2023. Job seekers: Please be aware of an ongoing scam in which people are asked to use Signal Messenger to set up an interview to discuss an open position with us. Our company recruiters will only email candidates from addresses ending in evolent.com. If you receive LinkedIn outreach from someone identifying themselves as an Evolent employee, make sure that their profile has a checkmark showing that their workplace was verified using their work address. If you are unsure about the legitimacy of a recruitment message, please email [email protected]. An example of an illegitimate message is below,.

How do we ensure that all members of a patients’ extended care team — across primary care providers and specialists — are working together to improve health outcomes? Our medical director for value transformation, Vishnukamal Golla, spoke about the need to better connect care and how Evolent is taking on the challenge in a recent episode of Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA)’s Voices podcast. Most providers experience the peer-to-peer call from one perspective – as the one requesting authorization for a service or the one reviewing it for medical necessity on behalf of a health plan. As both a practicing orthopedic spine surgeon in West Virginia and a medical director at Evolent, Dr. Matthew Walker regularly sees it from both vantage points. Writing in STAT, he highlights one big thing that could help make these calls more collaborative and productive in his field: ensure that the reviewers are true peers in the same specialty. "A common theme is that when a patient enters the realm of specialty care, that's a black box where primary care providers lose touch with their patients altogether. That's a really important area of innnovation and it's actually one that we here at Evolent...are working to solve." Our medical director for value transformation, Vishnukamal Golla, speaks with Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA)'s "Voices" podcast on the need to better connect primary and specialty care providers. Dr. Golla’s conversation begins at 10:10 here: https://lnkd.in/e5NvVKCe #health #healthcare #valuebasedcare
Primary care providers are expected to be the quarterbacks of their patients’ care. But when it comes to managing patients who also need specialty care, too often it feels like they’ve been left alone on the field. Recently I had the pleasure of speaking with Erika Grotto, host of the “Voices” podcast from the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) on the need for closer teamwork between specialty care and primary care physicians. Some of the key areas we touched on include: · How limited access to specialty care may force primary care practices to expand the services they deliver beyond their clinical comfort level · Why primary care physicians struggle to identify the best, highest-value specialists for patients with complex health needs · How the lack of communication between specialists and primary care providers creates gaps and fragments care. These are all challenges that we at Evolent are taking on, as we seek to create a more connected care experience. Through innovative models, navigation programs and other tools, we can help improve member outcomes and experience throughout the patient journey. To listen to my conversation with Erika, tune in at 10:10 on this link: https://lnkd.in/eyhzi9PV #health #healthcare #valuebasedcare

Excellent work by Priscilla Blossom who spoke with me for this comprehensive review of ways to reduce your risk of cancer, the second leading cause of death for Americans. With cancer on the rise among the younger population, it’s more important than ever to know your family history and speak with your provider about the need for aggressive screening and genetic testing. With advancements enhancing our ability to detect cancer in its early stages, we can significantly impact overall survival rates. Celebrating Black History Month! At Evolent, we understand that our diversity is our greatest strength. We recognize that DE&I is an ongoing endeavor that continually shapes our organizational culture and influences our impact in healthcare. For Black History Month this year, we aligned Evolent's mission (to change the health of the nation), with curated programming aimed at enhancing the well-being of our employees. Specifically, we facilitated a powerful discussion in collaboration with Dr. Williams from our mental health partner, Lyra Health, focusing on combating race-based traumatic stress and how to take care of yourself in the workplace. How did your company observe Black History Month? I invite you to share your programs, initiatives, and ideas in the comments below. Let's continue to inspire and uplift one another in our collective pursuit of progress toward inclusive work environments. #BlackHistoryMonth #diversityequityandinclusion #EvolentImpact The event was made possible through the joint efforts of three business resource groups: Underrepresented Minorities, Wellness, and Women of Evolent BRGs, in partnership with the DE&I office.
