Today, EDAA is proud to announce the launch of the online digital ad industry's Advanced Advertising Transparency Programme (AATP). The AATP supports companies in meeting the ad transparency requirements of the Digital Services Act (DSA), particularly Article 26. Amongst a range of important transparency requirements, this includes conveying relevant information on the fact a marketing communication is an ad (through prominent markings) as well as disclosing whom the ad is delivered on behalf of and the main parameters used. Building upon the AdChoices Icon, EDAA delivers a cross-industry response that lives up to our longstanding core pillars of consumer transparency, choice and control. EDAA will continue pursuing its goals of respecting, informing and empowering consumers. We are proud of what we have achieved so far and we look forward to working with responsible companies to meet these heightened ad transparency standards. To learn more, read our news release! 👇
