"As it stands now, if one picked partners randomly in the Am Law 100, there’s a nearly 50/50 chance that they don’t get most of their pay from firm profits. Commensurate with that trend, some firms have adopted limited or variable equity models, in which some partners—whether a small group between the income and equity groups or a majority of the former income group—have at least a small stake in the firm’s performance." #legalindustry #lawfirms #lawfirmleadership #lawfirmlife #biglaw #legalrecruitment #legalcareers #lawcareers

Our Co-founder and Partner Scott Yaccarino adds his comments to The American Lawyer's analysis of survey data on Am Law 100 law firm pay ratios. "Equity partner compensation ratios will likely continue increasing at the top tier of the market as those select firms continue to stretch the highest end of their compensation system to attract and retain the most profitable and transformative partners." #legalindustry #lawfirms #lawfirmleadership #lawfirmlife #biglaw #legalrecruitment #legalcareers #lawcareers

"More than 7-in-10 GCs said that AI has the potential to improve department efficiency and that using technology to simplify workflows is a high priority. At the same time, however, 90% of GCs said that their department only makes slow to moderate progress in adopting new technology—and, more worrisome, fewer than one-third are reporting an increase in their legal technology budgets. The reasonable conclusion, therefore, is that GCs know that AI can help drive better efficiency . . . but GCs still view the uptake of new technology with some skepticism." #generalcounsel #inhousecounsel #inhouselegal #inhouselawyers #legalprofession #lawcareers #legalcareers #legalpractice

We hope to see you on Tuesday, May 28 for this important free webinar, "Increasing Help-Seeking for Legal Professionals Struggling with Depression." Depression is treatable; people can and do get better. But persuading people with depression to get help is hard. Their symptoms distort their thinking, making them believe that asking for help would be useless. Some outreach even backfires, making people with depression even less likely to seek help. Our speaker, Dr. Jason Siegel, has developed a four-step, science-based approach that addresses these challenges. He'll discuss how organizations can apply his framework to improve the likelihood of help-seeking among legal professionals and save lives You can register here: https://lnkd.in/gCrf4KcB Dr. Anne Brafford, JD, MAPP, PhD Tara Antonipillai, JD, MAPP Denise Gaskin - Well-Being Champion / Coach
