Thank you to our global community of corporate partners for joining us for yesterday's webinar, Around the World: Global Perspectives on Disability Inclusion. This was a fantastic conversation, and we were proud to invite panelists Federica Terrenzio (of Salesforce), Leonardo Knittel PCD (of Chevron), and Manisha Kothari Mehta (she/her) 🌈 (of Amazon) to explore diverse global perspectives on #DisabilityInclusion to share experiences, challenges, and innovative solutions. Some takeaways from the conversation included: + Addressing intersectional identities (like #Disability) across regions is not a one-size-fits-all; for companies seeking to host regional events, it's important to take into account cultural perceptions and attitudes around people with #Disabilities, including appropriate language. + For international companies, establishing and supporting disability-focused ERGs/BRGs can be a great resource for creative innovation to increase awareness and educate professionals in the workplace globally. + Creating programs to upskill people managers can help companies empower leaders and advance inclusion across the entire enterprise, while also being able to address needs locally. Thank you to Taylor Hahn for moderating this impactful conversation. If your company would like to be included in future webinars, contact Mackenzie Ward ([email protected]) or visit https://lnkd.in/eSahAeG

Fostering safe spaces to talk about post-traumatic stress disorder (#PTSD) enables people to share their experiences openly, helping to reduce stigma and promote more inclusive environments. In honor of #PTSDAwarenessMonth, we want to promote productive conversations around PTSD by asking our community, "What do you want colleagues to know about people with PTSD?" Share your thoughts and perspectives in the comments below! [ID: A blue-filtered image of an older woman working in an office on her laptop, holding a phone in her other hand. • Dark blue gradient background with the Pitch Perfect Challenge logo, Hippotanicals logo, and Dr. Ann Nguyen-Chung's headshot behind text, “My story began in 2020 when I developed a painful rash from a lip balm due to its long list of ingredients. Frustrated with the embarrassing, ugly sores, I made my natural lip balms using minimal plant-based ingredients. Not only did my skin clear up, but this success sparked my passion to create other wellness products. The combination of my healthcare background, holistic lifestyle approach, desire to make a positive impact, and want to solve the ingredient problem is how and why Hippotanicals was born.” - Dr. Ann Nguyen-Chung, Founder & CEO of Hippotanicals
    • Dark blue gradient background with the Pitch Perfect Challenge logo, 360 Direct Video logo, and Craig Radford's headshot behind text, “I've been deaf since birth, and navigating this world is often exhausting and difficult. This is why I founded 360 Direct Video to make life easier for deaf individuals in my community. Imagine not being able to fully understand the customer service on the other end of your call or your chat for 2 million North Americans and 70 million deaf users worldwide. 360 Direct Video is the customer service solution for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. We are creating a world where every customer experience is accessible, inclusive, and direct. It's about giving every customer the respect and the service they deserve in the language that they speak best.” - Craig Radford, Founder & CEO of 360 Direct Video
    • Dark blue gradient background with the Pitch Perfect Challenge logo, Re-Focus the Crative Office logo, and Angela Stephen's headshot behind text, "I found myself as a single mom with a one-year-old, and I saw him truly struggle when he was diagnosed in 5th grade with a high level of ADHD. We tried medication and counseling, but nothing was working. So, I started creating products that didn't exist. Today, he is 23 years old, living on his own, and thriving. Our mission is clear: once a person is focused, organized, and find their calm, they can be brilliant. We are passionate about helping people in the neurodiversity area, whether they have ADHD, anxiety, or other challenges." - Angela Stephens, CEO of Re-Focus The Creative Office
    • Dark blue gradient background with the Pitch Perfect Challenge logo, PILOT logo, and Ben Brooks' headshot behind text, "I left the corporate world over a decade ago, where I was a senior vice president of HR at a large global firm. I wanted to make a bigger impact. My work in LGBT equality, including founding employee resource groups and being involved in the repeal of 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell,' got me hooked on leveling the playing field and making an impact. So I invested my life savings as the sole owner and founder of PILOT, and we're one of very few certified LGBT-owned SaaS businesses in the country. And now, recently, a DOBE certified business." - Ben Brooks, Founder & CEO of PILOT
    • Dark blue gradient background with the Pitch Perfect Challenge logo, Vion Capital Investments logo, and Kyle Nelson's headshot behind text, "My first step into healthcare started in 2002 when I had the privilege of donating a kidney to my father. It was during recovery that I had conversations with nurses, physicians, and staff about job satisfaction. This experience opened my eyes to the challenges in healthcare, especially the job shortages and infectious disease issues. Fast forward, the nursing shortage became even more critical, with nurses leaving due to personal safety concerns. Our product, toilet totes, addresses this issue by providing a medical-grade plastic system that simplifies waste disposal, reducing the risk of infections." - Kyle Nelson, Owner of Vion Capital Investments
