Last week, the DRP team traveled to the annual C2ER: Council for Community and Economic Research conference in Virginia, where our team members Angela M. Ladetto, CERP, SVP of Marketing & Business Intelligence, and Jessica Worley, Senior Manager of Research & Business Intelligence, earned their Certified Economic Research Professional certification.   Angela, who is C2ER's outgoing Chairperson, also moderated the Federal Partners Panel with panelists Vipin Arora of the Bureau of Economic Analysis, Ron Jarmin of the U.S. Census Bureau, and Erika McEntarfer of the Bureau of Labor Statistics.    Thanks to all who made this conference successful! The DRP team gained valuable insights and looks forward to next year's conference.

This July, DRP team member Marco Salomone is traveling to San Francisco to attend SEMI Americas Semicon West to meet with companies in the microelectronics industry interested in expanding to the #DetroitRegion. Marco will be joined by DRP partners Chris Michael from Oakland County, Michigan Government and Tyler Rossmaessler from Flint & Genesee Economic Alliance. Michigan Central Station's reopening celebration was one for the history books.   Performances from Diana Ross, Eminem, Jack White and other iconic #Detroit artists rang in the reopening of Michigan Central Station, which closed in 1988 and was bought by Ford Motor Company in 2018.   Michigan Central Station's restoration represents a huge win for the #DetroitRegion-- it's a symbol of positive change and pride for the city.
