Yesterday, the DCPA team came together for the 2023/24 Not-Quite-End-of-Season Lunch Celebration! 🎉 With only a couple shows left, we were so happy to take the time to celebrate all the fantastic work and accomplishments from this past season. We ate plenty of food, shared lots of laughs, and reflected on all the triumphs of this past year. None of it would have been possible without our extraordinary team's hard work and commitment! Bravo! 👏

Space Explorers: THE INFINITE is the experience of a lifetime. Where else can you explore the International Space Station? (Besides, of course, space itself!) Thank you for sharing, Tom!
Really excited to share how great it was to take my family to the Space Station last night. Well, the next best thing. Denver Center for the Performing Arts has brought Space Explorers: The Infinite to the Stanley Marketplace, where our studio FLY kickbox resides alongside 52 other independently-owned businesses. Business owners and their families got to don their VR Meta Quest goggles and join astronauts on different Expedition missions, including SpaceX Crew-1. Felix Lajeunesse and Felix & Paul Studios have done an incredible thing by conceiving and building a camera that could immerse the general public into International Space Station National Laboratory operations and daily life of its residents. Pretty incredible to be able to walk around the space station, with VR goggles on and without bumping into other people, stopping time to time to join alongside astronauts in their activities like you're part of the crew. My favorite spot to be in the ISS is in the cupola, where there are seven windows to look outside. Just incredible. Job well done to all and thanks to NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration for making this project possible and provide insight and inspiration from our orbiting space station. The immersive experience is here in Denver until May 5th, giving you plenty of time to plan your visit https://lnkd.in/gpSxVBcu

Black history is American history. And the DCPA celebrates Black stories year-round with the productions on our stages and the resources we share with audiences. The Black History Month 2024 theme, “African Americans and the Arts,” explores the influence African Americans have had on visual and performing arts, among other disciplines. ⭐️ On that note, take a look at our curated collection of NewsCenter stories highlighting Black artists and Colorado’s Black community. https://dcpa.today/42GPItK 📷 The Cast of The Color Purple.
