Vicore is pleased to announce that our digital therapy, Almee, has received Breakthrough Device Designation from the FDA. Almee is the first digital therapy to address anxiety and quality of life in patients living with pulmonary fibrosis. The Breakthrough Program designates those medical devices that are evaluated as providing a more effective treatment for life-threatening or irreversibly debilitating diseases. Wonderful work from the team and of course, very impressive work from Alex Therapeutics.

Dear Clinical Research Community, I wanted to take a moment to share news of some key strategic changes at Curebase. For years, we have operated both our SaaS software business and our full-service clinical operations business. After much thought and market input, we have decided to sunset our full-service clinical operations business and focus our company efforts on our SaaS platform. This best enables us to serve our mission to improve patient experience and patient access in clinical research. Our decision reflects our spirit of learning and iterating to create the best solution possible for customers. We have learned: - We can serve our customers better by focusing on software and making technology innovation our core competency. - There is a mature ecosystem of sites, CROs, and vendors who stepped up during the pandemic and are ready to lead on DCT and Hybrid trial services. - Partnership is essential to growth, and by focusing entirely on software we can develop richer partnerships with service providers to lift our industry up collectively. We respect the responsibility we have to every customer who relies on Curebase services, and we are collaborating with them through this transition. We regret the turbulence our industry is experiencing, including staffing reductions at Curebase and many of our peer startups trying to make an impact in this space. We wish our talented teammates who are affected by this decision the best, and know that they’ll make incredible contributions at other organizations. We are proud to be operating as stronger, more focused business that can serve our customers and partners for years to come and achieve our mission for patients. -Tom
