Last week we chatted about the Applied Materials effort back in 2004-2009 to commercialize Thin Film Solar production lines. This week we discuss the origin story for Covalent Metrology. It has been 8 years since I took the leap of faith and purchased that first atomic force microscopy as a side-hustle. Covalent now employs 65 amazing people and serves hundreds of companies developing leading-edge products, materials and devices. We are still early in the journey, but the core concept to build a new and better kind of analysis partner is pretty clearly working and being embraced by the market. Very grateful to the team, our customers, our investors and our industry partners. Been a wild ride filled with incredible joy and just a bit too much terror.
