  • EARLY HEART ATTACK CARE Don't take chest pain lightly, it is often a warning signal for a heart attack, and that is when your prompt action may be the key to your survival. Research shows that treatment of heart attacks in the first hour offers the best opportunity to prevent damage to heart muscle, and to ensure survival and faster rehabilitation. Chest compressions are good for the first few minutes for someone in cardiac arrest by pushing the remaining oxygen through the body to keep the brain and vital organs alive. It buys time until someone with more skills can provide help. Visit our website at swhcoronaregional.com for more information about our cardiology program.

  • Falls are not only painful but can also lead to ongoing complications and difficulties. It is important to know if you are at risk of falling and what you can do to prevent them. Falls are the leading cause of both fatal and nonfatal injuries in older adults. However, falling is not confined to older adults. People using certain medications – such as tranquilizers, sedatives or antidepressants – and people with vision and pain problems are also at risk of falls. You can make changes to help reduce the risk of falling for your and others in your home. READ MORE: http://spklr.io/6043UJlt
