I am always excited to speak on my favorite topic - the Power of Partnerships. Partnership is the cornerstone of any effort related to social or structural drivers of health. Not something I was taught in my PhD program but I learned quickly (sometimes stumbling) as I tried to do my work in mitigating food security. I have seen efforts and initiatives thrive when partnerships are successful. I have seen efforts die without the right partnerships in place. It’s the same with Food Is Medicine efforts. We all need to come together and link arms for healthy food to be a covered medical benefit. Can’t wait for this conversation and to learn more from my colleagues at the Food as Medicine Summit this coming week in Chicago!
