A Software House with a Team of 150+ Dedicated to Your Project's Success

About us

Codup is a growing software company with clients across 23 countries and has been in business for 10+ years. ***Codup focuses on 3 key areas of expertise*** Ecommmerce Solutions: Our deep industry knowledge positions us well to be a technology partner to e-commerce companies that want to focus purely on business and not worry about technology. Product Development: Developing a successful product is more about shipping fast and engaging your users rather than building a massive feature set out of the gate. Not only can we help you make sense of technology and handle it for you, we can help you make smart compromises and trade-offs so you can keep going forward. Systems Integeration: Systems integrations have evolved in nature and given birth to the API economy. Codup can help leverage this new trend for massive cost and efficiency benefits while still enjoying perfect harmony of data among your various software suites. ***What our clients get by working with us*** Exceptional Communication: One of the biggest challenges for outsourcing to the South Asian region is communication. At a time when Collaboration and Clear Communication is becoming increasingly important for success of projects among distributed teams, most companies fare poorly at it. With Codup however, clear and upfront communication is king and it culminates into successful projects all the time. Mature Processes: We have mature business processes in place that ensure successful understanding and delivery of projects. Each project goes through the following phases; requirements and analysis, estimations, scoping, design, development, testing, UAT, deployment, maintenance and support. Deep Understanding: Having had several medium and large projects under our belt, our team has a deep understanding of the domains we operate in. Coupled with our communication, we can deliver solutions that work for you and your users.

According to this article by Marketplace Pulse, Shopify's Shop App is nearing $1 billion dollar GMV run rate which is not even 0.5% of Shopify's $250 billion GMV run rate. However, given the company's passive approach to marketing the Shop App, this is huge. Being able to universally search through millions of Shopify hosted stores and find the product you need is a powerful capability especially when you need what you need and Instagram or Google Ads aren't helping you much with Product Discovery. Shopify's President Harley Finkelstein said that the app made $100 million in GMV in a single month in Q4! The Shop App includes features like universal search, recommendations, AI shopping assistant, social videos, and brand ads. Shop Pay rewards incentivize purchases with 1% back, redeemable in the app. Campaigns such as Shop Week and collaborations with influencers like MrBeast have driven downloads and engagement. The Shop App inverts the Shopify ecosystem and instead of discovering a product through Instagram or Google Ads and then browsing a merchants Shopify hosted store, it becomes the first touch point for a consumer. Instead of a B2B software targeted to merchants, Shopify becomes a consumer facing brand.

As Shopify developers ourselves, news like this get us excited! So #Shopify acquires Checkout Blocks, a product by founder 🗽 Gil Greenberg known for its no-code block system that enables merchants to personalize their checkout experience using drag-and-drop features, enhancing user experience and increasing conversion rates. Exciting times for Checkout Blocks and Greenburg! This acquisition aligns with Shopify's strategy to strengthen its checkout capabilities and offer more extensible and customizable solutions to its users. Checkout Blocks has been built using Shopify's platform capabilities, such as Checkout UI Extensions and the Branding API. While the acquisition of Checkout Blocks promises many exciting developments in the future, the most immediate benefit is their offering of the Checkout Blocks Starter Plan, valued at $99 per month, now free for all Shopify Plus merchants! Migrating to Shopify #extensibility isn't as simple as switching on a toggle. In having some conversations the past couple of weeks I've realized that most merchants don't understand this yet. If you're using vanilla Shopify checkout with little to no customization (which is not often the case) then moving to extensibility can be a fairly simple process. Otherwise, it can get complex and requires a good bit of analysis and planning even before you can begin to migrate. The deadline isn't too far. if you haven't already, you should have your dev teams begin working in this very soon especially if you have a heavily customized checkout. Happy to help any merchants or agencies talk through it and strategize.

If you're still using checkout.liquid on Shopify for your checkout customizations, here is a roadmap, originally shared by Jan Frey (video link in comments), about planning your migration project so you can migrate safely to #CheckoutExtensibility in time before checkout.liquid sunsets. 1. Assess the complexity of your migration project 👩🏭 In the assessment phase, your goal is to assess and identify all the checkout customizations you have currently. Shopify admin provides a handy report so you can quickly identify what customizations you have. 2. Evaluating what customizations you want to keep and migrate to Checkout Extensibility. 🤔 At this point, you should evaluate each customization you have and the technical overhead of migrating it to Checkout Extensibility. For example, there might be some feature not worth keeping and so you might not want to migrate it at all. 3. Mapping the features you want to migrate, to technologies needed to implement them. 👩🔧 Jan shared a useful diagram in his video, about what APIs and extensions are required to implement what kind of feature. For example, if you want to enhance the look and style of your checkout pages, you'll need to use the Branding API. To add an upsell page after the checkout process, you'll need the Post Purchase extension. Once you have assessed your current customizations, evaluated them, and then mapped them to a Checkout Extensibility tech stack, then is the time to move onto implementation. Choose the right partner so you can rest assured everything is being taken care of in time! 🤜🤛 Need help migrating to Checkout Extensibility?
