Why do species go missing? It’s hard to know. That’s why collaborators from the Garden and other institutions built a tool that guides land managers through an investigation, asking why a species failed, and how to successfully reintroduce it. Learn more: https://chgobg.org/3vN6dZa

Meet our new logo and tagline! After more than a year of heartfelt consideration and planning, we’re thrilled to introduce you to our refreshed branding. Our new logo and tagline reflect who we are today—welcoming, vibrant, modern—and unifies the breadth of our work. In addition to being a place for horticulture and beauty, the Garden leads pioneering plant conservation research, offers lifelong learning opportunities, and builds healthier communities through urban agriculture. The logo is an abstract depiction of a flower, originally inspired by the center of a coneflower (Echinacea). The colors, reflecting hues found throughout the Garden, represent key programs and concepts. With three powerful words—Plants. People. Planet.—our tagline ties together plants, people, and planet, which are at the center of everything we do. We are thrilled by the recent announcement from the U.S. Department of the Interior. This investment will directly impact the critical restoration work on public lands, and the Garden looks forward to continuing to be a collaborative partner for improving native seed availability across the country.
We're pleased to announce nearly $18 million in new investments from the Inflation Reduction Act to ensure a ready source of native seeds. 🌱 Strong ecosystems with a good native seed base are essential to reducing erosion, protecting against non-native and invasive species, and reducing risk of wildfire.
