This week on Ship It! Anurag Goel from Render! 🤓 Anurag joins 🤘 Justin Garrison & Autumn Nash for a look behind their platform. An application native hosting option that hides the lower levels still requires a LOT of infrastructure. https://shipit.show/108 #devops #paas #kubernetes #podcast #render

Have you ever wondered how things get done on the Go Team at Google? Angelica H. sure did! On this episode of "Go Time", she's joined by Cameron Balahan, Sameer Ajmani & Russ Cox to talk about how things get done on the Go Team, how do they decide what to improve and then how do they go about improving it. Was on the Changelog podcast that dropped Friday, talking AI, open source sustainability, and… well, lots of other things, because if it didn’t meander at least a little bit it wouldn’t be Changelog 😂 Next on the pre-Upstream podcast tour: Application Security Weekly - should drop tomorrow! https://lnkd.in/gnZWTKb9

Today, Git is the go-to version control tool, but that wasn't always the case. Much like VHS over Betamax & Blu-ray over HD DVD, Git had to win its crown. GitHub was the killer app that made it take off, but not without the work of Scott Chacon, who taught an entire generation of devs (myself included) to use and love Git. On a recent Changelog interview, I asked Scott about the early days of GitHub and why he's back now, teaching the next wave of developers about Git. https://lnkd.in/g-qYBdzr
