Hunger doesn't take a summer break, but neither does the Central Texas Food Bank. We had a blast kicking off our Summer Meals program yesterday at the Boys and Girls Club of the Austin Area's Home Club! In partnership with the Texas Department of Agriculture, our Summer Meals Program keeps kids fueled up for all-day fun! This program provides nutritious meals to children, including those attending BGCAA's summer camp. Donate today: https://bit.ly/4egUyTH

Heartened by Austin Annual's recognition of CTFB's ongoing commitment to providing nutritious meals at the Marshalling Yard Emergency Shelter! This feature in the 2024 City of Austin in Review highlights the power of collaboration to offer holistic care and nourishment that empowers our neighbors. As David Gray, Austin's Homeless Strategy Officer, said, this partnership is a beacon of hope for Marshalling Yard, fostering not just sustenance but long-term well-being. At CTFB, we believe access to healthy food is the fuel for a brighter future. Together with partners like Austin's HSO, we're building a more nourished Austin where all our neighbors can thrive! School's out for Central Texas kids! 🌞 🌷 Summer break is a time for vacations and fun. But for the 1 in 5 children facing food insecurity summer means losing reliable access to school-provided meals. This strains budgets as families manage the added costs of childcare and high utilities. Donate to the Central Texas Food Bank and make a meaningful difference today! Your generosity helps ensure our food insecure neighbors have access to food and resources for a happy and healthy summer. Act now: https://bit.ly/44SaVSo

We were thrilled to have staff from the Housing Authority of Travis County join us for a senior program distribution today in South Austin to commemorate Older Americans Month! Our partnership helps ensure our older adult neighbors in need have reliable access to healthy meals. We're grateful for the hands-on support from their dedicated team. #OlderAmericansMonth
