    Today, SailGP announces that internationally-acclaimed dance music duo Loud Luxury will perform at the upcoming Mubadala New York Sail Grand Prix from June 22-23. Unfolding over two action-packed days on New York Harbor, the event kicks off the first official weekend of summer in New York City, with an exciting blend of high-octane fleet racing and world-class entertainment. 🗽 Loud Luxury will take to the stage after the first day of racing on Saturday the 22nd, performing live from the waterfront at the purpose-built SailGP Race Stadium on Governors Island. 🎵 More information here 👉 ⛵ https://lnkd.in/gfTTK_-j

    On June 2, Volkswagen of America will celebrate the second annual International Volkswagen Bus Day, a National Day Calendar-recognized holiday honoring the worldwide love for Volkswagen buses old and new. This celebration follows the inaugural 2023 Bus Day that marked the unveiling of the three-row, all-electric ID. Buzz, while paying homage to our brand’s original Type 2 Microbus. In collaboration with Wrapmate, Volkswagen is using this year’s holiday to announce a custom graphics program available to future ID. Buzz owners. Starting on June 2, 2024, a 3D configurator—launching first in beta—will allow future ID. Buzz customers to begin dreaming up their personalized vehicle design through a premium digital and accessory experience. Through the Wrapmate custom graphics program, Volkswagen will periodically introduce special release offerings designed by artists and VW brand partners. The first of these available designs will be the “Love the Earth” design by Dr. Bob Hieronimus. While working with Volkswagen to recreate his iconic “Light Bus”, Hieronimus learned of the brand’s shift toward electromobility and commitment to working toward a more sustainable future. These values closely align with messages Hieronimus has been communicating through his many decades as an accomplished muralist and art car painter. In the zero direct emissions ID. Buzz, he saw a new canvas to promote the importance of global unity as a pathway to a more loving relationship with Earth.     BPCM client SailGP's immersive preview took off at Hall des Lumières last Monday, a taste of the world’s most exciting racing on water, returning to NYC next month! (https://lnkd.in/ev4VEsyy) The Mubadala New York Sail Grand Prix (https://lnkd.in/esYadKPX) on Governors Island, June 22-23, will feature 10 national teams, including an all-new U.S. team, racing identical F50 catamarans in intense sprints at speeds around 60 mph. The weekend will consist of six 12-minute races over two days, with stadium seating along the water, in an exhilarating festival atmosphere.    SailGP grew out of The America’s Cup, the oldest competition in international sport, yet the league itself is only five years old, and 2024 marks only its second Grand Prix in NYC. When SailGP raised the idea of hosting a press event, BPCM saw the exciting opportunity to push beyond the standard news conference format, championing the concept of an immersive event that would visually and aurally put guests in the thick of a Grand Prix. Our previous work with a client event at Hall des Lumières in the Wall Street neighborhood made us confident that it would be the perfect venue for SailGP.    Still, we were blown out of the water to witness just how successful the collaboration between HdL, their production team, and SailGP was in bringing the night to fruition.
