The Ball team in Itupeva learned about international trends, technological launches, and exciting innovations at the FCE Cosmetique trade fair this week. The fair highlighted solutions for generating business and uncovering trends among some of the biggest brands in packaging and cosmetics. Our recyclable aluminum packaging – including aerosols bottles and personal care products – were the perfect recyclable addition to the trade fair. As a global leader, Ball is providing sustainable packaging innovations that reimagine, rethink, rebuild, and replace the current aerosol packaging landscape. A few of our summer interns enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of our plant in Golden, CO. They experienced a taste of what it takes to create beautiful, durable aluminum beverage packaging products. At Ball, our long-standing commitment to support the communities we call home is an integral part of our culture. Each year, Ball colleagues come together for Global Volunteer Month to make an impact as a team – in ways that directly impact their local communities.     This year, during Global Volunteer Month, Ball teams planted trees, educated students about sustainability and recycling, trained with the local Red Cross, cleaned up beaches and forests, built homes for low-income families, and so much more. 🌱 We are inspired by the passion and care our teams have for local families and environments.     Collectively, throughout the month, Ball employees donated over 3,000 hours of their time, across 17 countries, to causes important to them. As proud supporters of the U.S. Aerosol Recycling Initiative, we’re eager to share the release of an Executive Summary, in collaboration with Can Manufacturers Institute and the Household & Commercial Products Association. This summary encapsulates insights from an upcoming white paper outlining the recycling journey of aerosol cans. We are honored to play a role in this initiative, which aims to make recycling aerosol cans easier for the end-user by achieving two quantitative goals by 2030: ♻️ Achieve at least an 85% recycling access rate for all aerosol cans. ♻️ Label at least 90% of all aerosols as recyclable with messaging on how to properly recycle them.
