Out of nearly 200 entries, we're proud to have both The Jay and The Inn at Mattei's Tavern selected as two of the 34 projects that made the cut across 14 categories. The Jay is in the running for the Suite category and The Inn at Mattei's Tavern for Hotel Renovation and the Lodges, Cabins, and Tented Camps categories. So much to recap about #hdexpo2024 last week. Our Chief Creative Officer Nick Solomon took part in this year's "Next Wave: Rising Stars on Building Community and Placemaking" panel, discussing new ideas shaping our industry. On how consumers are shaping design, he shared, "We are dealing with the savviest and most informed consumers, and now there are thousands of brands with something for everyone. From a designer’s point of view, we have to really up our game and get smart, but that means we’re moving the needle by finding ways to be more innovative.
