I love the intimacy of these dinners. You can feel the love permeating at the table. Complete strangers. But oh how much we all have in common. Joined together by Atlanta Black Tech and a common interest in seeing eachother win by building up the tech ecosystem in Atlanta for people like us. The conversations and connections made= priceless. This is arguably the best type of networking/professional event you can do. We were able to get intimate and vulnerable about some of our experiences and ask/answer burning questions. I know them. These are my family. As we weather the highs and lows of the startup ecosystem, we work to pour into our community as well as foster a way forward. One of the amazing people who contributes to #AtlantaBlackTech is Atiya Byrom, a proud Spelman College grad and the Development Manager at Resilient Coders. She is dedicated to fighting for equity in access to the tech economy. With a passion for harnessing the power of community and centering the voices and experiences of those most impacted by inequity, Atiya believes in building a future where talent and opportunity know no boundaries. Atiya's work involves training people of color for successful careers as software engineers, ensuring everyone has the chance to thrive. A significant milestone in this journey was the receipt of $2.5 million from Yield Giving, a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Resilient Coders team. This incredible support will further their mission and help continue creating opportunities for underrepresented communities in tech. Let's keep pushing for a more equitable future!
