Happy Earth Day! Let's reflect on the profound connection between our planet and our well-being. Just as the Earth provides stability and nourishment, grounding practices play a crucial role in addiction recovery. Grounding techniques, such as mindfulness, meditation, or simply connecting with nature, anchor us in the present moment and cultivate inner strength. They remind us of our roots and offer stability amidst life's storms. This Earth Day, let's honor our planet and recognize the importance of grounding in nurturing our recovery journey. 🌍💚 #grounding #EarthDay #addiction #recovery

April is National Counseling Awareness Month. National Counseling Awareness Month is a month-long event that celebrates the important role of counselors in promoting mental health and wellness. We'd like to take the time to recognize the incredible counselors we have at our Spring Hill Recovery facility. Pictured from Left to Right: Grace Koah, MS, advocates that true transformation occurs through the renewal of one's mind, thereby rejuvenating one's strength. Michelle Prentiss has been in the human service field for the past 20 years. "I am excited and eager to expand my therapeutic career at Spring Hill, grateful for the chance to contribute to this field." Kristopher D. Ambrozewicz, MS, LADC-I, serves as the Clinical Supervisor. With more than 8 years of expertise in substance use and mental health, Kris possesses extensive knowledge of various treatment modalities. As Albus Dumbledore once said, "Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light." Kelley Canali, LADC-II, Counselor and Group Facilitator since Sep 2021. Believes life’s journey is strengthened by “Faith, Family, and Friends”. James Adams, MS, LADC-1, has served as a Clinician with the Spring Hill team since July 2023. He holds licensure as an Alcohol & Drug Counselor and earned his master’s degree in Human Services from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2018. Not picture but equally as amazing: Thomas Thelin, LADC I, is an esteemed member of the clinical team at Spring Hill, boasting nearly 12 years of experience as a Group Facilitator. Renowned for his warmth and enthusiasm, he builds strong connections with clients. Marcus Berglund, MA, PhD Candidate (ABD), LMFT (OR), is another longstanding member of the clinical team. Marcus is a Family Therapist and Group Facilitator, providing both families and clients with education on addiction. "Being positive in a negative situation is not being naive; it's leadership." - R. Marston
