Valentine's Day doesn't just have to be about romantic love, it can be about self-compassion as well! 💝 Earlier this week AllHealth Network's Community Engagement Team visited our friends at CHDA (Community Housing Development Association) for a training focused on Fierce Self-Compassion. "Fierce self-compassion" is a term coined by Dr. Kristin Neff, a pioneering researcher in the field of self-compassion. Self-compassion is the practice of treating oneself with kindness, care, and understanding, particularly in moments of struggle, failure, or pain. It involves acknowledging one's own suffering with a sense of warmth and empathy, rather than harsh self-judgment or criticism. CHDA residents wrote their names and a quality about themselves they are proud of in the center of a heart. What do you do to practice self-compassion?
